Those who suffer from a phobia know just how debilitating this can be, they are also, often aware how irrational these fears have become. Coming in all shapes and sizes, there are any number of phobia, be that someone, somewhere or something. The fear can have a major impact on the lives of those suffering from the phobia and it isn’t unusual for its impact to go beyond the person for whom the fear is present.
The longer phobias are left unresolved, the more likely it is that they will grow and become stronger and as such, it makes sense to seek professional help in bringing about positive change, rather than allowing a debilitating fear to become even greater.
Continuing to avoid fears, creates a vicious circle in which the fear grows larger in the mind, with the phobia becoming more, rather than less, restrictive.

Around 8% of the UK population have some sort of phobia, as such this is an area where I commonly help. Sometimes clients will know when the phobia started, whilst some are unsure when, where or why they have a fear.
In my professional experience, there can be personal trauma lurking behind irrational fears. From some, new found responsibility, such as having a family can increase them, especially with things like a fear of heights or flying.
I have a whole host of techniques to help you and if you can scare yourself in the comfort of my office, you will know when a positive shift has taken place.
We aren’t born with phobia, instead these are learned behaviours, thus, we have the scope to create new more positive ways of response to the trigger.
Typically 1-2 sessions will be required to successfully resolve a phobia.
Fifteen years in China living with spiders the size of dinner plates did not cure my arachnophobia.
